Horizon Journal of Psychology supports open science and the responsible sharing of research data, materials and analysis code to enable transparency, scrutiny and reproducibility.
Data availability statements
Every article reporting original data must include a data availability statement describing whether the underlying data are openly available, available on reasonable request, or subject to restrictions, and how they may be accessed. Where data cannot be shared — for example to protect participant confidentiality — authors should explain why.
Sharing and preservation
- Authors are encouraged to deposit data, materials and code in a trusted, discipline-appropriate repository and to cite them with a persistent identifier (such as a DOI).
- Shared human-participant data must be appropriately de-identified and shared in accordance with consent obtained and applicable law and ethics approvals.
- Preregistration of studies and analysis plans is encouraged and may be noted in the manuscript.
